Fantastic Nails & Spa in St. Albert AB is looking for 1 bookkeeper to be part of our growing team.
Job duties:
• Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
• Bring the books to the trial balance stage
• Perform partial checks of the posting process
• Prepare financial statement and tax returns for review of accountant
• Enter data, maintain records and create other financial and accounting reports
• Keep track of expenses and expense reports
• Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
• Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
Qualification and Skills:
• Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
• 1 year relevant experience working in bookkeeping and/or accounting
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient skills in computer tools such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
• Team player with a can-do and upbeat attitude
