Summary:
Sushi Royal Tokyo is a Japanese-style restaurant located in the heart of Kamloops. We’ve been open since 2015 and are known in the local area for great, quality sushi and Japanese fare, with an impressive all-you-can option. We offer dine-in (a la carte and all-you-can-eat), take-out, and delivery, and to maintain our busy volumes, we are currently seeking an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth restaurant operations for front and back of house;
- Hire, train, and retain front of house service staff. Create, post, and manage shift schedules;
- Ensure customers are happy with service and quality of food. Manage customer complaints or service requests as required;
- Manage cash till and payment system;
- Manage take-away and delivery orders ensuring quality of food is superior and orders correspond to correct delivery service. Communicate with delivery service provider;
- Run end of day sales and labor reports. Input labor hours for payroll processing;
- Take and maintain inventory of dry goods, liquor/beverages, and office supplies;
- Assist service staff in seating customers, taking orders, running food, and taking payment; and
- Assist owner with other restaurant duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service focused environment, preferably in a restaurant setting;
- Previous supervisory/managerial experience preferred;
- Completion of high school education;
- Must be able to communicate in English;
- Must have excellent customer service skills, and is able to present themselves professionally; and
- Experience or knowledge with Japanese cuisine preferred.
Compensation:
- $32.50 – $38.00/hour
