Job Overview:
King Animal Hospital is hiring passionate and experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our Small Animal Emergency team in our 60,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility offering specialty referral, rehabilitation, and emergency services.
You shall be employed in the position of Veterinary Technician. Reporting to the Registered Veterinary Technician Manager.

Duties:
• Providing exceptional nursing care and support to patients including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, performing diagnostics and completing treatments
• Working collaboratively with the veterinary team to provide advanced diagnostics as well as exceptional care
• Obtaining and processing samples using in-house diagnostic lab equipment
• Preparing and maintaining detailed medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and diagnostic results using our information systems
• Communicating with pet owners to provide updates on their pet’s condition, as well as intake and discharge appointments and follow up calls
• Participating in continuing education and professional development to stay up to date on the latest innovations and developments in referral, emergency and critical care
• Creating anesthetic protocols and performing sedated treatments and procedures as well as general anesthesia
• Triaging and stabilizing emergency patients
• Assisting with duties in other departments as required by the Company
• Any other Veterinary Technician duties as required
Requirements:
• Minimum 5-7 years of Veterinary Technician experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency hospital setting is required
• Completion of a two or three year veterinary technology college program is required
• Must be available for rotating shifts: days, overnights, swing shifts, weekends and holidays
• Must be a team player with a passion for animal care in a collaborative environment
• Excellent communication skills
