Job Duties:
• Prepare and maintain the company’s financial records using manual and electronic bookkeeping methods.
• Prepare financial statements and reports based on the company’s financial records.
• Post journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare a trial balance at the end of each accounting period.
• Prepare and maintain the general ledger of the company.
• Prepare employees’ payroll based on each employee’s data received from the company’s management.
• Keep herself/himself updated with federal or provincial tax requirements.
• Assist in preparing income tax returns of the company after carefully examining the company’s financial statements and records.
• Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping of the company.
• Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll and other bills promptly
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school.
• Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping OR
• Completion of courses in accounting/bookkeeping with hands-on experience of 1+ years in the related field.
