U-Guard is a proud Canadian brand, specializing in developing automotive accessories. We are dedicated to providing premium products and services to all fellow Canadians. Recognized as a certified OEM parts supplier to manufacturers like Mazda, Hyundai, and KIA Canada since 2009, U-Guard maintains high standards for quality and offers competitive prices. Our top products are supplied directly to Canadian warehouse distributors and retail chains, ensuring stable inventory stocking rates and next-day delivery across the country. They are also available through certified online retailers, including Costco and PartsEngine.ca, meeting the increasing demand for superior automotive accessories in western and central Canada. We have come a long way from a small basement, to owning two corporate warehouses and service centers.
We are now looking for a Vice President position to share the burden of the business owner and oversee all company procedures. This role has to be a veteran of executive-level management and familiar with our industry. We expect improved internal performance, sales outcomes, and better financial management under this Vice President’s leadership.
Job Duties:
Strategic Planning:
1. Research and explore the best strategies to grow business volumes for our vehicle accessory services while optimizing the operational procedures that cut down unnecessary business expenses.
2. Lead middle managers from all departments to discuss and formulate long-term operational plans aligned with current business objectives.
3. Take charge of designing the company's expanding directions, including identifying untouched market segments, incorporating new technologies in the automotive industry into our products, and attracting partnerships with vehicle parts suppliers or retailing businesses.
4. Coordinate with different team leaders to set clear expectations for production timelines, delivery schedules, and in-house modification service standards.
Operation Management:
1. Oversee the operation performance of all departments, especially the parts refabrication and wholesale process; hold meetings with middle managers to establish realistic sales targets, review KPI metrics, and analyze sales outcomes.
2. Stay updated on changing trends in the OEM and aftermarket parts industry, lead the team to design innovative accessories that cater to customers’ preferences, and create engaging sales pitches to present to retail parts businesses.
3. Monitor the production schedules, and inventory stock reports, as well as ensure all fabrication materials are at an adequate level and the available product number can meet customer requirements.
4. Ensure all business procedures stay compliant with relevant industry regulations, government laws, and the company’s internal policies; mitigate risks related to accessory product development, modification, and wholesale process.
5. Develop contingency plans for solving potential business challenges, expand our sales channels to cover more population, and establish a positive work environment for all staff members that encourages company loyalty.
Resource Management:
1. Participate in the hiring process for department leaders, coach them to meet our operational expectations, and bring their talents to use in the wholesale of our popular vehicle accessories.
2. Coordinate with the financial department to control our company's revenue, expense, and budget allocation, ensuring the spending plan can yield the highest possible profitability.
3. Address customer feedback or complaints about our products by providing timely responses to maintain our positive business image, and directing the staff team to improve upon verified product flaws.
4. Foster an effective partnership with media outlets, establish a strong presence on social media platforms, and represent the company to attend automotive industry conferences to boost our brand exposure and public popularity.
Qualifications:
1. A college diploma in business administration, finance, or relevant working experience in similar fields is required.
2. A minimum of three years working as a middle manager or above position.
3. Past experience in the wholesale trade or automotive industry is an asset.
4. Able to exert strong leadership skills and inspire staff to reach for higher performance.
5. Possess sound judgment and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
6. Capable of articulating and conveying ideas clearly with outstanding communication skills.
