Job Description
. Audits and assesses the OHS programs and procedures, makes recommendations for improvement, and implements corrective actions, with a focus on incident prevention.
Provides advise/support to management and staff in the identification and mitigation of hazards.
. Conducts regular safety inspections and report any issues/hazards to management.
. Updates Health & Safety procedures and policies.
. Develops Safe work procedures in conjunction with management as required.
. Conducts hazard/near-miss and incident investigations to determine the root cause.
. Advises supervisors/management regarding health and safety issues, rules, and regulations and ensures that corrective action, and follow-up is carried out.
. Schedules and organizes training
. Develops, organizes, and/or delivers training sessions on Health and Safety and other related topics.
. Maintains all compliance documentation and Health & Safety boards.
. Provides support/advisement to the Joint Health & Safety Committees.
. Provides Emergency response support.
. Supports WSIB claims management and facilitates early and safe return to work programs.
. Performs other related duties as required.
Job Requirements:
Languages

Education
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience
1 year to less than 2 years
