Job Profile
As a CAD/BIM Technologist your drafting knowledge must be sound. You know how a building goes together, and what a great REVIT model or set of drawings should communicate. You will assist in the design of buildings with industry software and can work in a team environment from design through to modelling and field reviews onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Developing finished building models and drawings from general conceptual information and design notes
• Coordinating drawings with those of other disciplines on projects
• Providing project drafting
• Accountability for schedule and efficiency
• Accountability to project engineers for drawing production and quality
• Helping the design be more easily communicated through your drawings
• Working as part of a team to produce drawings
• Coordinating and overlaying drawings of other team members to resolve drawing coordination and development of detailed design projects
• Assisting in developing drawing models for use analysis software
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
• Certificate in Civil/Structural drafting or technology
• Experience with detailing of reinforcements on concrete buildings
• Work Experience with REVIT and CAD
• Experience using software such as Clash Detection, Revizto and Navisworks
• Architectural background would be considered an asset
