Job Description:
Xeneration Inc. operating as Xenetek is currently seeking a full-time permanent position (40hrs/week) of Finance Manager reporting to the CEO of the organization to work out of Bedford, NS. You will be responsible for providing timely financial reporting and insight into the business operations. This position is well-suited for an ambitious, hands on, knowledgeable, and articulate finance professional! You will be heavily involved in the day-to-day transactional financial tasks and ensuring accuracy of the financial information.
Primary job duties include, but are not limited to:
~ Plan, organize and manage the Finance department of the organization.
~ Monitor and analyze balance sheets, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
~ Approve and oversee payroll prior to processing.
~ Aid management decision makers in forecasting business revenue.
~ Monitor taxes and provide details for audits.
~ Prepare, analyze and present timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
~ Oversee regulatory audit processes and ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met.
~ Assume a lead role in development and implementation of new or modifications to existing financial systems to ensure correct financial implications of all transactions and appropriate levels of internal control are maintained.
~Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of current operations; develop and implement improvements to systems andprocesses.
~ File tax returns monthly, quarterly, and/or annually as required (includes GST, HST, and Excise Tax).
~ Maintain the day-to-day banking relationships, including compliance reporting.
~ Recruit, train and manage staff in the finance department
~ Evaluating investment opportunities and making recommendations based on financial analysis.
~ Managing the investment, borrowing, and other financial activities of Xenetek.
~ Directing Xenetek's financial audits and providing recommendations for procedural improvements.
~ Managing and overseeing the financial aspects of contracts and agreements with suppliers, customers, and other third parties.
~ Working in collaboration with the HR personnel to ensure employee salary packages reflect competitive market trends and in line with the company's budget.
Education Level
~ Bachelor's degree in accounting or commerce or business administration or related field is required.
Experience Level:
~ 3-5 years of work experience in accounting, financial analysis, financial management or other related financial activities is required.
