Tasks
Hire, supervise and schedule staff, Plan and direct grounds maintenance, Organize and direct planting of trees, gardens and lawns, Plan and estimate labour and materials, Maintain work records and logs, Tender and administer contracts, Establish work schedules and procedures, Repair and maintain equipment, Requistion or order materials, equipment and supplies, Resolve work related problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, Operate chainsaw to fell, delimb and buck trees, Survey and assess designated sites, Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions, Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease, Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products, Plant and move trees
