•Competency using various computer systems to record and document repairs and diagnose problems

Specific Skills
•Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
•Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
•Order parts and maintain inventory
•Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
•Keep maintenance reports and documentation
•Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
•Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
•Perform repair work on heavy trucks
•Verify and repair emission control systems
•Check, calibrate and perform routine maintenance to equipment
•Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment
•Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
•Performs all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs)
•Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
•Review, complete or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
•Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate/OSHA Standards
•Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
