Cotter’s Ocean Products has been specializing in the sale and distribution of live and processed lobster in Lockeport, Shelburne County, Nova Scotia for more than 10 years.
We are currently expanding our operations to export to Asian markets and are hiring for the position of Financial Control Officer.
Position: Financial Control Officer
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $30 - 35 CAD per hour

Job Responsibilities:
? Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
? Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
? Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to management for improving financial performance.
? Manage cash flow, accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely invoicing and payment processing.
? Monitor financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
? Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
? Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements:
? College diploma in finance, Accounting, or related field is prefer.
? Proven experience in financial management or a similar role is an asset.
? Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
? Experience working in a company exporting products to Asia or experience working with Asian companies is an asset.
