Job duties are as follows but not limited to:
• Greet and check in patients upon arrival.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments. Handle patient inquiries and provide information about services.
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
• Process patient billing and collect payments.
• Verify insurance coverage and handle insurance claims.
• Assist patients with insurance paperwork including MVA or WSIB files and resolve billing issues.
• Order and maintain office supplies.
• Ensure the office is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for office maintenance.
• Prepare patients for chiropractic treatments.
• Explain treatment procedures and provide instructions.
• Assist patients with mobility and comfort during visits.
• Assist chiropractors during patient exams and treatments.
• Apply heat or ice packs to patients as directed by the chiropractor.
• Maintain and sanitize treatment rooms and equipment.
• Document patient treatment plans and progress.
• Update patient files and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Monitor, check, and calibrate chiropractic equipment.
• Maintain and clean equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Assist in the setup and dismantling of chiropractic equipment.
• Assist in rehabilitation exercises and activities as directed by the chiropractor.
• Instruct patients on proper exercise techniques and usage of rehabilitation equipment.
• Provide support and encouragement to patients undergoing rehabilitation.
• Educate patients on health, wellness, and preventive care practices.
• Provide informational materials and resources to patients.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in the office.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to office improvements.
• Adhere to all healthcare regulations and office policies.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff by following safety protocols.
Job Requirements:
• Secondary Education
• Minimum 1 year previous work experience in a chiropractic or physiotherapy clinic as an assistant or aide.
Additional Job Requirements:
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet operational needs, including early morning, afternoon and evening shifts
