Brewis Electric located at 638 Hillside Ave, Victoria, V8T 1Z2, BC is a well-established electrical contracting company focusing on service work and new construction in residential and commercial sectors. Brewis Electrical is conducting interviews for a self-starter, career-oriented, full-time permanent position for 5 construction electricians with several years’ experience in the field after being qualified as a construction electrician.
Candidate must:
Be able to work in BC legally
Have reliable transportation and a driver’s licence
Be willing to work at different construction sites in the Victoria, Saanich Peninsula and lower Vancouver Island
Duties and Abilities:
Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate aptitude in:
Planning daily tasks to accomplish weekly overall schedule provided by the office
order and receive material and select materials and methods for hazardous locations.
Keep maintenance reports and documentation
Splice, join and connect wires
Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults of ciruits
clear understanding of the latest edition of the Electrical Safety Code
install conduit (1/2" - 4") both EMT and PVC
Troubleshoot and isolate faults
Install power generation and power conditioning systems
lay out electrical services to 3 phase 400A, 600/347V
Commission systems and components
Design and construct single-phase service /low voltage multiphase
for single or multimeter installations/
read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structions.
Renovate electrical systems
Have good communication skills in English - written, verbal and comprehension
Be able to adhere to schedules and timelines and communicate back to their manager regarding daily events and tasks completed.
Qualifications
Qualified electrician from any jurisdiction
Eligibility from Skill Trades BC to challenge the Construction Electrician examination in Canada if you do not have it already
Wage and Benefits
wage of $30-$35 per hour
40-44 hrs per week
paid overtime if require,
benefits (Medical and Flex Plan Dental)
