In 2009, we brought in a CNC router, plasma, and oscillating knife to allow even more creativity and accuracy to our projects. Over the past two decades, Davey Plastics Inc. has created thousands of customized products for customers all across Canada and the USA.
We are currently seeking an administrative assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our management team and staff.
Job Duties:
1. Provide administrative assistance and secretarial support to the designated departments, teams, and services.
2. Triage information of a sensitive and organized nature and deliver accurate and timely administrative services to keep the management team apprised of issues and activities.
3. Draft, type and edit memos, excel sheets, reports, letters and presentation slides
4. Compile and maintain files, data, records and documents
5. Prepare and organize the schedule for the meetings. Arrange and confirm appointments as well as set up audio or video conference lines.
6. Manage correspondence, calendar and mail and ensure all items are prioritized and dealt with in a timely manner.
7. Check incoming enquiries from electronic channels and distribute them to relevant parties.
8. Assist with buying team to help with finalizing orders and reviewing confirmations.
9. Maintain alarm codes, key fobs, office equipment inventory, and help plan and arrange office events and assist with managing the office budget.
10. Arrange travel schedules and make reservations
Qualifications:
1. Secondary School or above is required.
2. Minimum 1 year of administrative or secretary experience, or acting in a similar role.
3. Experience preparing and maintaining documentation, spreadsheets, and databases is an asset.
4. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) including 50 wpm keyboarding skills.
5. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
