Operate as the primary point of contact for the driver, giving them the information they need about routes, weather predictions, and delivery instructions.
Ensure the truck is used as efficiently as feasible and that weight restrictions are adhered to by planning the loading and unloading of items.
Talk with clients to address their questions, provide them with updates on delivery schedules, and resolve any transportation-related concerns.
Keep thorough records of all dispatch operations, driver logs, fuel consumption, and other pertinent information.
Make sure that all dispatch procedures adhere to all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including those on the minimum number of hours that drivers must work.
