Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Buyer to join our dynamic team. The Food Buyer will be responsible for purchasing high-quality food products at competitive prices, maintaining relationships with suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods to meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Source and purchase a wide range of food products including fresh produce, meats, seafood, and dry goods.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure the best prices and terms.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards and food safety regulations.
• Stay up-to-date with market trends, pricing, and availability of products.
• Collaborate with the operations teams to forecast demand and plan purchasing strategies accordingly.
• Manage purchase orders, invoices, and other relevant documentation.
• Supervise assistant buyers in job duties.
• Resolve any issues related to product quality, delivery, or pricing discrepancies.
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $30.00-$32.00 per hour, depends on experience
Regular working hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
