Join our strong, stable and friendly team! We are looking for 10 full-time permanent Long Haul Truck Drivers.
Description
Education: No Education required
Must be able to communicate in English.
Credentials: Driver's License (Class 1), Air Brake Endorsement
Experience: No experience required. Paid on the job training will be provided
Type of Travel: Long haul, Provincial/territorial, International
Main Duties:
• Conduct pre-trip & post trip vehicle inspection to ensure truck is in safe operative condition.
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Execute emergency roadside repairs if required.
• Plan travel schedules and routes.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatcher.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other information in log book.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding. The candidate should be available to work full-time in the day or evening or on weekends, if required. Weight Handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs)
Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel cross-border, willing to travel for extended periods, willing to travel overnight, valid driver's license
