Job Description:
Balsam Laboratory Company Ltd has been at the forefront of the tunnel-boring industry for over 25 years, always pushing the boundaries of technology and innovative methods to improve our products. In partnership with several research universities and a wide customer base, we've advanced new technologies, methods, and materials for tunnel construction. Our achievements include setting up our laboratory in 2020, establishing quality standards for tail seal grease, developing a unique bentonite additive, and launching our tail seal grease. As leaders in tunnel excavation, continuous improvement is our core goal. With offices across North America and projects throughout Asia, Balsam Laboratory is rapidly expanding. We plan to start with the North American market and promote our products to the rest of the world.
We are currently looking for a full-time Business Development Officer working in the Vancouver location to oversee the following responsibilities: building relationships with OEM manufacturers, conducting market research and surveys, and managing approved projects from start to finish.
Job duties:
-Conduct feasibility studies in the early stages of projects, aligning with the company's strategy and leadership's vision. Develop and implement policies to drive industrial and commercial business investment.
-Foster relationships with OEM manufacturers to identify pressing industry issues, explore potential collaborations, and establish partnerships.
-Oversee the entire lifecycle of approved projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and compliance with quality standards.
-Research and integrate the latest carbon neutrality policies and technologies into the company's R&D processes and products.
-Design market research questionnaires and conduct social or economic surveys to assess development potential and future trends. Analyze data on wholesale consumers' buying habits and preferences, and evaluate customer service quality.
-Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, and regularly communicate project status and progress to stakeholders.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project risks, issues, and opportunities, and implement effective mitigation plans.
-Review and evaluate commercial or industrial development proposals, researching consumers, competitors, and market trends to optimize marketing strategies for industrial and commercial products.
Employment requirements:
-A bachelor's degree in economics, commerce, engineering-related fields, business administration, or public administration is preferred.
-At least 5 years or more of relevant industry experience, particularly in business development or project management, is necessary.
-TBM construction knowledge is a must, understanding the operational principles of various types of TBM, and the typical problems encountered by TBM in various types of stratum excavation.
-Knowledge of tail seal grease, HBW, and main bearing grease is a plus.
