Job Summary:
The Database Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of our databases, ensuring data accuracy, and providing insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analysis, database management, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Database Management: Design, implement, and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance, data integrity, and security.
• Data Analysis: Analyze data trends, patterns, and anomalies to support business decision-making and provide actionable insights.
• Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and structures to support the efficient storage and retrieval of data.
• Query Optimization: Write, test, and optimize SQL queries to enhance database performance and reduce response times.
• Data Integration: Coordinate the integration of data from various sources, ensuring consistency and accuracy across systems.
• Reporting: Generate reports and dashboards to visualize data and present findings to stakeholders.
• Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup and recovery procedures to protect data and ensure business continuity.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT, development, and business teams to ensure data solutions align with company goals.
• Compliance: Ensure that databases comply with industry standards, data protection regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree or college program, usually in computer science, computer engineering, or mathematics or a related field.
• Minium one of experience in database management, data analysis, or a related role.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
