Job Requirements and Skills:
- Two or more years of proven experience in a similar role - Knowledge of different types of drywall and their applications - Familiarity with taping, mudding, and sanding techniques - Ability to work under minimal supervision, independently or as part of a team - Good physical strength for lifting and carrying materials - Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed. - Strong attention to detail, effective time management skills to meet project deadlines
Job Duties:
- Measure and cut drywall panels to fit specific dimensions
- Install drywall panels using appropriate tools and techniques
- Secure drywall panels to walls, ceilings, or other structures
- Tape, mud, and sand seams to create a smooth surface
- Repair or replace damaged drywall as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety guidelines at all times
- Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed
