• Make and modify truck driver schedules based on availability, traffic patterns, and delivery deadlines.
• Operate as the primary point of contact for the driver, giving them the information they need about routes, weather predictions, and delivery instructions.
• Ensure the truck is used as efficiently as feasible and that weight restrictions are adhered to by
planning the loading and unloading of items.
• Talk with clients to address their questions, provide them with updates on delivery schedules, and resolve any transportation-related concerns.
• Keep thorough records of all dispatch operations, driver logs, fuel consumption, and other pertinent information.
• Make sure that all dispatch procedures adhere to all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including those on the minimum number of hours that drivers must work.
