As we continue to expand our operations, we are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive team and drive operational success.
Position Overview:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will oversee the overall operational management of HMPT Investment Inc., with a particular focus on trade, supply chain, and market expansion within the vaping industry. Reporting to the CEO, the COO will ensure operational efficiency, optimize the company’s distribution network, and drive business growth. Candidates with significant experience in international trade, supply chain management, or service-oriented industries will be highly considered.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage the daily operations across trade, supply chain, and distribution, ensuring seamless flow from suppliers to end consumers.
· Develop and implement long-term business strategies in collaboration with the CEO, focusing on market expansion, product distribution, and operational efficiency.
· Optimize supply chain processes and logistics to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
Oversee compliance with all relevant industry regulations, including Health Canada regulations and provincial laws for vaping products.
Supervise and mentor department heads to align operations with company goals and KPIs.
· Analyze operational performance metrics and implement improvements to streamline production, distribution, and sales operations.
· Foster relationships with key suppliers, stakeholders, and partners to enhance trade operations.
· Ensure all company services are aligned with best practices and innovation, focusing on both operational and customer service excellence.
Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures to improve overall business performance.
Champion a company culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
3 years+ proven experience as a COO or in a senior leadership role, ideally within trade, distribution or service-orented industries
Strong understanding of trade regulations, logistics, and supply chain management, particularly in the vaping or tobacco industry.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams.
Strong strategic planning, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in international trade, as well as backgrounds as an Import or Export Manager, Managing Director, Chief Representative, or other senior executive roles, especially those with international trade work experiences will be considered a valuable asset.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (Financial management preferred).
