JOB DUTIES -
To co-ordinate special events
To determine the size of food portions and costs
To plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
To requisition food and kitchen supplies
To prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
To inspect kitchens and food service areas
To train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
To order supplies and equipment
To supervise kitchen staff and helpers
To maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
To clean kitchen and work areas
To organize buffets and banquets
To manage kitchen operations
