Job Description

· Supervise staff activity, food preparation and implement standard operation procedures to maintain high quality standards.

· Coordinate the entire operation of the restaurant and staff to provide fast and excellent

customer service.

· Choose kind of services to be provided and apply operational processes.

· Complete and post the staff work schedules and review staff performance.

· Change menu, price and other specials offer, make changes in POS system.

· Identify and contact prospective customers to promote catering in local business, schools

· Set, administer, lead, manage and analyze the functioning of the restaurant.

· Ensure that health and safety codes are maintained, and security policy is followed.

· Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.

· Handle customer complaints concerning food quality or service.

· Manage inventory, evaluate food requirements and other supplies, deal with suppliers to procure products on time, supervise deliveries to verify the quality of products.

· Keep accurate cash, sales, purchase, and inventory records.

· Hire, evaluate, and terminate staff as needed, train new employees in their task and

responsibilities

Job Requirements:
Languages
English

Education
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience
1 year to less than 2 years

Computer and technology knowledge
MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word

Tasks
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations, Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures, Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms, Conduct performance reviews, Cost products and services, Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, Organize and maintain inventory, Monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices, Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies, Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities, Develop, implement and analyze budgets, Participate in marketing plans and implementation, Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance, Address customers' complaints or concerns, Provide customer service, Recruit, train and supervise staff
