Job Duties:
Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces;
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, or other appropriate methods to ensure proper adhesion of paint;
Smooth surfaces, remove old paint or repair cracks;
Read specifications to determine quantities of materials required;
Mix and thin paint to obtain the desired colour and texture;
Apply paint or other materials, such as stains, lacquer, enamel, oil, varnish, fibreglass, metal coating or fire retardant using brushes, rollers or spray equipment;
Collaborate with other restoration professionals, such as water extraction technicians and carpenters, to ensure a cohesive and efficient renovation process;
Keep the working area clean and safe;
Requirements
Completion of high school (Preferred);
2 + years of experience as a painter or related field;
Flexible hours, including weekends;
Hand-eye coordination;
Physically demanding;
