Responsibilities
Beckra Contracting is actively seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Rope Access Technician (RAT). Specializing in building envelope projects, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to enhance our team.
Job Duties:
o Inspecting, maintaining gear and personal protective equipment along with the care
o performing basic rope access rigging under direct supervision of Level III technician
o analyzing and assessing work hazards, notifying supervisors of any such hazards and understanding measures of controlling and minimizing them
o maintaining and utilizing equipment effectively, minimizing and preventing damage
o being familiar with rescue procedures and systems used by employer, assisting in the performance of rescue from rope access systems
o following rope access supervisor's directions regarding the work to be performed
o Performing the following tasks: building envelope inspections, leak investigation, sealant installation services, concrete repairs. application of various waterproofing products, building maintenance - pressure washing and soft-washing, other exterior finishing work
o Representing the company in a professional manner
Qualifications / Skills
- Possess a current SPRAT or IRATA certification at Levels 1, 2, or 3
- Hold a valid fall protection certification
- Experience with swing stages and boom lifts is an asset
- Have at least 7 months of experience in building envelope work
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Exhibit initiative and be an effective team player
- Maintain punctuality and reliability
