Chef
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Oversee all phases of food preparation and cooking activities of kitchen staff
• Plan menus and ensure quality food service
• Prepare all menu items and daily specials
• Monitor kitchen operations, cleanliness and staff’s adherence to safety and sanitary procedures
• Train kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation
• Maintain work location clean and safe and follow food safety procedure
• Ensure proper ordering and inventory control
Requirements:
• 2+ years’ experience working in a kitchen environment
• Experience in Korean and Japanese cuisine
• Completion of culinary education or equivalent experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items and standing for long periods of time
• Able to handle numerous tasks at once
• Team player, able to work in close conditions with other people
• Knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations
Working Condition:
• Work activities will require overtime, morning, day, evening and weekend

Main location at 1812 Sir Isaac Brock Way, St. Catharines, ON L2S 3A1
May work at other Ah-So Sushi locations when required
Position Type:
Permanent, Full-Time, 30~40 hours/week
Wage $28.39 (CAD) per hour
