Wage Rate: $33.65 Hourly, for 40 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, day, morning, overtime if required.
Education: High School.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in related field
Languages: English.
Job Duties:
• Adjust, repair or replace and components of truck-trailer systems including structural, brake and electrical systems.
• Service, diagnose, repair, maintain, clean, equipment pre and post trip.
• Test and adjust repaired system to manufacturer’s performance specifications.
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power tools.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• Diagnose fault or malfunctions and confirm finding with supervisor or management to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
• Preventive maintenance on commercial trailer, use various hand tools and machinery to repair problem trailer, welding on trailer.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other workers.
