Customized and personalized education training, Vancouver private school applications, debate speech projects and Canadian and American university planning applications are our main businesses. Every year, BL Education Consulting Ltd. organizes more than 30 various competitions and lectures, including American Ivy-level competitive debate competitions, national mathematics competitions and provincial science exhibitions. At the same time, the company will select more than a dozen outstanding students to intern in famous internship bases such as Silicon Valley and Wall Street. Many of the company’s students have won multiple national and community-level awards and various performance opportunities. More and more students are successfully admitted to Canadian private schools, American private high schools, and top universities in Canada and the United States because of their excellent academic performance and outstanding leadership.
As part of our expansion plan, we are looking for an Administrative Assistant who possesses a combination of skills, traits, and qualities that contribute to their effectiveness in supporting the smooth functioning of our organization. The main duties of this position include but are not limited to:
-Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings with students and their parents.
-Greet and assist visitors, and direct students who want to inquire or seek consultation to appropriate educational consultants.
-Answer telephone and email inquiries, relay telephone calls, messages, and other materials to appropriate staff.
-Prepare, draft, and proofread various internal documents such as company notifications, correspondence, and file templates.
-Coordinate the flow of information internally and with other organizations.
-Maintain office procedures, train new staff in office procedures, and the use of office equipment.
-Respond to students’ enquiries and maintain accurate records of student interactions, received files, and other relevant information.
-Manage office supplies, including ordering and maintaining inventory.
-Organize online/offline seminars or events for students/parents including company events for staff.
-Prepare client statistics reports to support marketing research.
-Stay informed about changes in academic programs, university policies, and trends in higher education to provide accurate and up-to-date information to students.
-Perform other related administrative duties relating to the application and admission process as required by Management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-At least College Diploma
-At least 2 years of experience in a similar administrative support role
-Knowledge of BC private/public school system is an asset
-A strong ability to organize tasks, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple responsibilities
-Detail-oriented with ability to work under pressure
-Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal
-Expert level with MS Office such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
-Ability to work independently with little supervision
-May be required to work some evenings and weekends
