LeVilla Restaurant is looking for One (1) Kitchen Manager to perform duties including but not limited to the following:
• Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food
- Supervision of kitchen staff, including sous chefs, cooks, dessert chefs, and dishwashers. Ensuring all team members are working efficiently and effectively
- Training and Development
• Menu Planning and Development
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef in planning the menu
- Confirm that all dishes meet the restaurant’s standards of quality and presentation
• Inventory Management
- Estimate and order ingredients and supplies
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, and wastage
- Record Keeping
• Budget management
• Quality Control, Compliance and Safety
• Problem Solving
Terms of Employment:
• Salary: $35.40 per hour; 40 hours per week
• Permanent, Full-Time
• Start date: immediately
• Benefits: per AB labour standards
Skills Requirements:
• Language: English
• Education: no education requirement; Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline an asset but not a condition of employment
• Experience: minimum 1 year of experience in commercial food preparation or service
- Leadership – strong leadership skills to manage kitchen staff
- Organization - effective organizational skills to manage inventory, schedules, and kitchen operations
- Interpersonal Skills – ability to work well with a diverse team and able to handle conflict resolution effectively
- Culinary Knowledge – knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients
- Adaptability – flexibility to adapt to changing situations and demands in a high-pressure environment
- Attention to Detail – keen attention to detail to ensure quality control
