QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
• Minimum education: High School Diploma.
• Additional manufacturing process certifications considered an asset Lean / ASQ / Six Sigma.
• Tool calibration training (ASQ) considered an asset.
Experience:
• Min 1 year of experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
• Experience with RAD products is an asset
• Basic mechanical skills in disassembly and reassembly of components.
• Knowledge of computers (hardware) and programming (software, firmware).
• Experience with and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and how they operate together.
• Experience with and knowledge of ERP systems considered an asset.
Skills:
• Ability to manage around tight deadlines and still get it right.
• Must speak and read English expertly.
• Must be open to working extended hours during peak service demands
• Strong continuous improvement skills and cycle time reduction.
• Effective utilization of hardware and software applications and equipment.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, assembly drawings
JOB DUTIES:
The successful candidate will perform, but not be limited to, the following duties:
• Ensures that Torch Wrench are calibrated to ISO 17025 procedures and that all products that pass through the calibration Laboratory adhere to RAD’s high quality standards.
• Ensures all ISO 17025 related equipment is up to date and in working order.
• Identifies and recommends improvements to processes, and procedures in the ISO 17025 program.
• Helps to improve products, systems and procedures to provide efficient flow of tools through the calibration area.
• Can attend and advise whereabouts of product at scheduling morning meeting and update others in calibration as to what is needed when.
• Be able to train others effectively and help them ensure high quality calibration and products.
• Collect and distribute tools without causing harm to the tools, personnel or themselves.
• Works with Electronics / Mechanical Assembly Supervisors to get tools into calibration on time and to solve issues or defects in product in a timely manner.
• Disassemble, clean and reassemble joints/calibration equipment, be able to diagnose issues and repair.
• Assist Electronics / Mechanical Assembly Manager in tracking and reporting tools ordered vs. tools shipped.
• Release WOs for tools ordered based on the orders entered in the ERP and advise Sales and /or Electronics / Mechanical Assembly Manager of issues with new orders or ERP related documentation
