Summary
The Smoothie Bar Supervisor works in a fast-paced environment supporting Body Energy Club’s iconic smoothie bar. The Smoothie Bar Supervisor provides leadership for other Smoothie Masters as a senior go-to in the store and provides management support when the store Manager is not present or requires additional assistance. The Smoothie Bar Supervisor is expected to uphold Body Energy Club’s standards, policies, and procedures while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining an organized food-safe environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Uphold our commitment to deliver an exceptional customer service experience to every visitor, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
- Manage and support 2-3 Smoothie Masters on any given shift (number of staff are subject to change dependent on seasonal volume and store location)
- Troubleshoot customer concerns or complaints related to smoothies and orders when necessary, providing feedback and suggestions for resolution to management in more serious cases.
- Monitor smoothie quality, speed of service, and ensure staff are adhering to zone charts and positioned correctly during busy times.
- Monitor staff behavior and provide feedback to management as needed.
- Ensure team members are effectively cleaning all equipment required to produce smoothies such as blenders, spoons, knives, machines, etc.
- Ensure team members effectively clean all equipment required to produce smoothies, and conduct daily audits of checklists to ensure staff completion.
- Train staff on updated operational policies and procedures as communicated, in addition to training new hires and refreshment training as required.
- Receive product deliveries and put them away when necessary.
- Monitor smoothie/juice bar inventory shortages and notify the manager of any low stock or deficiencies.
- Deliver quality smoothies to customers, ensuring accuracy in client name, protein type, and customizations.
- Assist with daily store operations, including managing the cash register which is not limited to enhancing upgrades/upselling, and ensuring safety and security while making smoothies.
- Maintain a food-safe and sanitary environment, consistently adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements.
- GFS/Vendor Orders: Place smoothie bar orders and receive GFS products in LS Retail, ensuring correct storage and inventory levels. Monitor production, warehouse orders, and order replacement tools or items as necessary.
- Food Safety and Maintenance: Audit the smoothie bar sanitation checklist on every shift and upload it to the Google Drive. Review EcoLab levels for the Dishwasher, Sanitizer, and Antimicrobial Wash. Monitor the cleanliness of all smoothie bar stations, fridges, and freezers, and track expiring products.
- Maintenance and Checklists: Review Vitamix Blades, Sockets, and Jugs and report and replace them when necessary. Ensure staff follow correct fruit preparation checklists and process items used for the smoothie bar while marking barcodes. Conduct Smoothie Bar Audits, review previous shift checklists to ensure nothing is pending, delegate cleaning tasks, and review overstock smoothie bar items.
- Communication and Performance: Provide feedback to the Manager regarding staff performance, adhere to new policies and procedures, and maintain open communication channels within the team.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
- Establish work schedules

Minimum Job Requirements
- Flexible schedule availability required for all applicants during business operations for 7 days a week from 6:00am – 11:00pm
- Full time hours can work between 32-40 hours a week
- Maintain constant punctual attendance and contribute to positive team morale
- Must be able to come in under short notice (i.e. on call situations)

Educational Requirements
- FoodSafe Certification is mandatory and up-to-date

Experience Requirements:
- 2 years of supervisory/shift lead experience in the food service industry
- OR equivalent experience at Body Energy Club as Smoothie Master with demonstration of job excellence and strong understanding of company policies and procedures.

Working Conditions
- Work involves daily exposure to elements such as noise, dust, variety of food products
- Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks such as working blenders, knives, etc.
- Position requires the ability to be on your feet for a long-extended part of your day, moving equipment or product up to 20 - 30 lbs.; reaching and kneeling daily
- Requires the ability to see, hear and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette
