Job Description/ Duties and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will perform the following duties:
Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy equipment such as underground drilling rigs (production drills, jumbos, bolters) and battery electric machinery.
Perform repairs, overhauls, and part replacements on engines, transmissions, and other components, following safety guidelines and manufacturer specifications.
Conduct regular scheduled maintenance, including lubrication, part inspections, and fluid checks, to ensure equipment safety and optimal performance.
Disassemble and rebuild hydraulic systems, verifying functionality before returning equipment to service.
Test repaired equipment and make necessary adjustments to meet performance and safety standards.
Participate in daily toolbox and safety meetings to discuss potential hazards and preventive measures.
Maintain detailed records of preventative and non-preventative maintenance, including tasks performed, parts used, and service schedules.
Coordinate with supervisors and colleagues to plan and prioritize work, ensuring equipment is readily available for projects.
Wage: $38.46 CAD/ hour

Position Requirements:
Completion of secondary school is required.
4+ years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment.
Experience in a mining environment is considered an asset, but demonstrated expertise in working with heavy equipment in other industries is equally valued.
Proven ability to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and heavy equipment systems, including overhauling and rebuilding components to OEM standards.
Experience performing mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel-powered heavy equipment.
Clear ability to perform inspections and repairs to meet safety and operational standards.
Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical issues using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
Skilled in root cause failure analysis and problem-solving for complex mechanical and hydraulic issues.
Experience in maintaining detailed records to ensure compliance and transparency.
Effective collaboration with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and prioritize tasks.
Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices.
Ability to perform under tight deadlines and adapt to high-pressure situations.
