Responsibilities

Tasks
Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
Measure, mark and cut glass
Position and secure panes in frame
Prepare tenders and quotations
Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products
Install door, window and other hardware
Repair glass doors and other glass structures
Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment
Estimate costs and materials
Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
Work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes and other lifting equipment
Measure and lay out reference points for installation
Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations

Job Duties
• Measure, cut, and shape glass according to specifications.
• Install glass in windows, skylights, and glass doors.
• Repair and replace damaged glass and frames.
• Ensure the proper handling and disposal of glass materials.
• Use tools such as glass cutters, drills, and safety equipment effectively.
• Collaborate with construction teams and clients to ensure quality installation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
