The Vice President will play a pivotal leadership role in driving Canadian Jerky’s growth and innovation. This position is responsible for overseeing strategic initiatives, identifying and pursuing business opportunities, and developing a global marketing strategy to strengthen our presence and competitiveness in the international pet food market. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President will collaborate with senior leadership to align all efforts with Canadian Jerky’s mission, vision, and long-term goals. This role also holds a key position in shaping the company’s corporate strategic planning.
Job Duties:
- Develop and implement the company’s overall development strategy, including growth initiatives, partnerships, and market expansion plans tailored to the pet food industry.
- Drive innovation and identify opportunities to expand the company's footprint in existing and emerging pet food markets.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to align company development goals with organizational priorities.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the marketing team, overseeing the development and execution of global marketing strategies, brand management, public relations, and corporate image enhancement within the pet food market.
- Analyze global pet food market trends and competitive activities to guide strategic decision-making and ensure the company remains at the forefront of industry developments.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, media, and industry partners to strengthen the company’s presence and reputation in the global market.
- Oversee the planning and execution of major industry-specific events, including global pet expos and trade shows, to build international partnerships and showcase Canadian Jerky’s product offerings.
- Manage budgets and resources, ensuring financial alignment with organizational priorities and achieving cost-effective results.
- Lead, mentor and inspire department managers while fostering a collaborate and result-driven work environment to achieve organizational goals.
Requirements:
- More than five years of experience in a senior leadership role, responsible for overseeing company development, business strategy, day-to-day operations, and establishing corporate objectives.
- Industry-specific experience within the pet food market, including in-depth knowledge of supply chain management, market trends, product formulation and distribution channels.
- More than five years of experience in leading and developing global marketing strategies, with direct experience in the North American, Europe and Asian pet food markets.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and executive level staff.
- A minimum of high school education required.
- English is the required language of work.
