Job Overview:
Advanced Level Roofing is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Specialist responsible for managing, optimizing, and implementing business systems with a primary focus on sales, marketing, effective customer relationship management (CRM), service delivery, roofing product quality, and worker safety. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the company’s expansion across Alberta and Manitoba, ensuring that business systems are efficient, scalable, and aligned with the company’s strategies. The role also includes creating and maintaining a business systems operational manual that focuses on safety standards for both workers and roofing customers.
A key responsibility of the role is to train and mentor local workers, especially students, recent graduates, indigenous people, and newcomers in the use of sales and marketing business software and safety protocols, ensuring they are capable of operating business systems effectively while adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Requirements Analysis & System Customization:
o Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to document business requirements, focusing on sales, marketing, CRM, service delivery, and worker safety.
o Propose customized solutions to optimize systems for sales tracking, marketing, customer relationship management, and roofing product quality.
o Support expansion efforts across Alberta and Manitoba, while ensuring systems meet regional market demands and safety standards.
2. System Design, Development, Integration & Implementation:
o Design, develop, integrate, and implement business information systems tailored for sales, marketing, CRM, service delivery, and quality assurance.
o Enhance the implementation of Sales Rabbit, Ontraccr, and CRM systems to support sales data tracking and improve customer relationships.
o Implement cloud-based solutions for regional teams to access performance data and improve service delivery insights.
o Integrate real-time safety monitoring and quality assurance tools into business systems to ensure safe working conditions and high roofing product standards.
3. Information Systems Strategy, Security & Service Delivery:
o Provide strategic advice on business system policies, security, and service delivery, ensuring customer and employee safety are prioritized.
o Safeguard data privacy and security in sales and marketing platforms while developing workflows to ensure service delivery excellence and product quality.
o Conduct system audits to maintain high compliance with safety standards, sales, marketing, and service delivery goals.
4. Business Liaison & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Act as a liaison between business units (sales, marketing, operations, customer service, quality assurance) technical teams and executive leadership to align system objectives and operational goals.
o Collaborate with vendors to integrate third-party marketing tools and CRM enhancements, ensuring worker safety compliance and customer satisfaction.
5. System Testing & Performance Evaluation:
o Conduct system tests to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and functionality of sales, marketing, service delivery, and quality assurance systems.
o Evaluate system performance based on safety feedback, service delivery effectiveness, and roofing product quality.
6. Training, Knowledge Transfer & Documentation:
o Develop and deliver training programs for local workers (students, recent graduates, indigenous people and newcomers) in using sales, marketing software, CRM systems, and safety protocols.
o Create and maintain an operational manual focused on safety protocols, quality control, customer service, and operational best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
• Experience in business analysis, business system optimization, process analysis, and implementation ideally within the construction, roofing, or a related industry is preferred.
• Experience supporting multi-location or multi-market operations, particularly in scaling and adapting business systems for new markets.
Skills & Competencies:
• Experience in business systems operations, with a focus on sales and marketing systems.
• Proven experience with CRM systems, sales automation tools, marketing and sales strategies and business software integration.
• Experience in training and mentoring employees on system use and best practices.
• Experience supporting multi-location or multi-market operations, particularly in scaling and adapting business systems for new markets.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to act as a liaison between technical teams and executive leadership.
• Knowledge of data security, privacy regulations, and compliance standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot system issues and implement effective solutions.
Optional Requirements:
• Experience in the construction or roofing industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with worker safety protocols and their integration into business systems is an asset.
