Work Location: Various Work Locations across Lower Mainland
Job duties:
• Install and secure sheets of metal or wood on walls and ceilings;
• Able to cut, adjust and mark the drywall sheets as per measurement;
• Trims rough edges from wallboard to maintain even joints, using knife.
• Able to apply sand seams, fill cracks, joints and holes with broad knife and other tools;
• Able to use taping machine and tape the surface as required;
• Install blanket insulation between studs and tacks plastic moisture barrier over insulation.
• Able to read blueprints and other specifications to determine method of installation and material and tools requirements.
• Keep work area cleaned and organized
Job requirements:
• Completion of high school is required.
• Completion of 3-4 years apprenticeship program.
Or
• 3 to 4 years of relevant experience is required.
