SIIT is recruiting Instructors to deliver multiple OPER programs in the academic year, with each program being 10 weeks in length, across the province. As the educational leader in the classroom, the Outdoor Power Equipment Instructor will be responsible for delivering SIIT programs and curricula with the purpose of promoting student success.

Required Qualifications and Experience: A minimum of five years outdoor power equipment repair experience is required, including experience with all-terrain vehicles, boat motors, and snowmobiles. Knowledge of First Nations culture and organizations is considered an asset. An understanding of adult learning theories and principles is considered an asset. Prior experience teaching First Nations Adults is an asset. First Aid and CPR certification considered an asset.
As this position is considered safety sensitive, the incumbent will be subject to testing as per SIIT's Alcohol and Substances policy.
