The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial analysis, risk management, regulatory compliance, and investment structuring. This role involves managing financial planning, investor relations, and strategic financial decision-making to ensure optimal fund performance and regulatory adherence.
Job Duties:
1.Oversee the financial operations and compliance of the company’s investment vehicles, including REITs, MICs, hedge funds, VC funds, private debt funds, private capital funds, and direct investments.
2.Establish and implement financial controls to monitor transactions, investment activities, and reporting processes within an exempt market and alternative investment framework.
3.Implement automated financial reporting systems and portfolio management tools to track fund performance, investor contributions, and risk exposure.
4.Conduct cost-benefit analyses on various investment opportunities, evaluating expected returns, liquidity risks, and operational costs associated with each investment class.
5.Lead the financial planning and budget process for all alternative investment funds, ensuring accurate forecasting of capital inflows, investment allocations, and operating expenses.
6.Oversee the creation and refinement of financial simulation models to assess the risk-return profile of investment portfolios across the company’s investment products.
7.Collaborate with investment analysts, compliance officers, and operation specialists to automate and refine financial modeling tools, integrating them with fund administration and reporting systems.
8.Review and recommend enhancements to fund accounting procedures, ensuring proper classification of investment income, capital gains, and expense allocations across different fund types.
9.Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities, ensuring employees stay current with industry trends, financial regulations, and portfolio management best practices.
10.Develop and implement strategic investor communication policies, ensuring compliance with exempt market regulations while maintaining trust and credibility with stakeholders.
11.Assess the financial impact of portfolio diversification strategies, ensuring asset allocation maximizes returns while maintaining risk control.
12.Provide strategic recommendations to executives regarding interest rate risks, credit market conditions, and asset valuation fluctuations that could impact investment returns.
Qualifications:
1.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
2.Minimum three years of experience in a financial profession. Experience in exempt markets, alternative investments, private equity, or hedge funds is highly preferred.
3.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
4.Ability to analyze fund performance metrics, optimize asset allocation, and manage liquidity.
5.Ability to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation.
6.Experience leading a finance team and collaborating with investment, compliance, and operations departments.
7.Analytical skills to interpret large volumes of data, spot anomalies and assess risks in economic forecasts.
