Duties:
• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
• Operate manual flame-cutting equipment
• Operate metal shaping machines such as press and tube bending machine
• Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers
• Program welder and set up for long runs overlapping shifts
• Organize material and consumables for operation
• Study possible movements of robot/humans for efficiency
• Maintain welder
• Operate manual welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), resistance welding and submerged arc welding (SAW)
• Replace consumables as needed
• Clean and prepare cylinder surfaces for beautiful welding
• Check that part marking and assembly is correct
• Operate sprayer and exhaust fan correctly for best possible finish
• Replace air filters as needed
• Take pride in your area being used as part of our sales pitch
• Helping others on the team, providing information timely so they can do their work in a timely fashion as well
• Manage time in an effective manner, such that all work is completed by specified deadlines. And that anything that is asked to get done is finished in a timely manner
• Perform work as part of the Ex-Guard Organization
• Adhere to confidentiality agreement and ensure uniformity and standardization in legal work standards
Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Computer engineering technician diploma is an asset
• Minimum of 1 year experience welding with programmable welders is required
• Being on time for all appointments, meetings, and commitments
• In case of emergency must warn ahead of time so that team arrangements can be made for coverage and meeting deadlines
• Given the nature of the work is critical to our profitability, we expect superior quality of work in accuracy and timely delivery
• Superior customer service skills when dealing with external and internal customers. We require interdepartmental communications to be timely, and helpful to better serve the customer
• You will be required to devote the whole of your working time and attention to the business of the company and shall not engage in any personal activity during business hours which may be construed to create a conflict of interests with your employment
• Work respectfully and cohesively with all other team members, respond quickly to direction given from your supervisor. Any issue or concern with the team should be reported in a written format to your supervisor so that they can be resolved expeditiously
