As we continue to expand our presence and attract a growing number of guests throughout the year, we are seeking a Business Development Coordinator to play a key role in identifying and capitalizing on new growth opportunities. This position will be instrumental in shaping strategies that drive sustainable business growth, and elevate the guest experience to new heights. Position description:
Title: Business Development Coordinator
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hour per week: 30 hours
Hourly Salary: CAD$ 25
Annual Salary: CAD$ 39,000
Work Location: 36743 Cabot Trail, Ingonish, Nova Scotia B0C 1K0
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys and analysis on guest preferences and behaviours to identify trends and business opportunities for the resort.
- Develop and implement business plans to drive revenue growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and expand our offerings at the resort.
- Plan, control, and track budget and expenditures to ensure the resort’s financial goals are met while optimizing resources.
- Evaluate current customer service practices and propose innovative ideas to improve guest satisfaction and business performance.
- Explore new business avenues such as partnership opportunities, new service offerings, and potential market expansions.
- Monitor and assess market conditions and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats, and adapt the resort’s strategy accordingly.
- Work closely with resort management to develop long-term strategic goals and actionable plans for growth.
- Assist in the creation of sales forecasts and performance reports to track progress and measure success.
- Collaborate with various team members including operations and sales to ensure alignment of business development strategies with overall resort objectives.
- Help cultivate relationships with local and regional businesses, organizations, and stakeholders to expand the resort’s reach and create mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Develop initiatives to enhance the resort’s reputation and guest loyalty.
Basic qualifications:
- College Diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, market analysis, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and creative mindset, with a passion for business growth and innovation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for the hospitality industry, tourism, and the natural beauty of Cape Breton.
