On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

•College diploma/certificate or above
Experience
•At least 1 year of experience processing waste materials in a processing facility
•Experience with dewatering techniques
•Experience with the operation of skid steer, front-end loaders and excavators
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses?
•The candidate must possess the following certificates:
?Certification in workplace hazardous materials information systems (WHMIS)
?Certification in transportation of dangerous goods (TDG)

•Water and waste treatment utilities
General Tasks
•Operate filtration and clarification systems
•Operate pumping systems
•Take physico-chemical measurements on water and sludge
•Perform security checks within plant and on grounds
•Analyze test results and instrument readings
•Collect waste and sewage samples
•Complete and maintain plant logs and reports
•Help with the installation, the assembly, and repairs to equipment
•Make adjustments to plant equipment and systems
•Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally
•Operate and monitor computerized control systems and related equipment to regulate the treatment and distribution of water
•Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence

Detailed Tasks
•Responsible for the handling, consolidating, and processing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials received by the processing facility and ensure it is processed in a timely and safe manner
•Operate specialized processing equipment, forklift skid steer, excavator, and loader as needed
•Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks and containers
•Ensure incoming waste conforms with acceptance protocols
•Utilize dewatering techniques, such as centrifuge and geotubes.
•Ensure safe operation and procedures are followed at all times
•Complete paperwork correctly & ensure it is complete
•Complete job hazard risk assessments
•Promote and adopt a safety culture with all employees
•Provide superior internal and external customer service
•General shop clean up and maintenance
•Other miscellaneous tasks as required
