• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of truck drivers to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
• Plan and assign delivery routes while monitoring driver performance to meet company standards and customer expectations.
• Resolve operational issues, delays, or problems during deliveries, and implement measures to enhance efficiency and service quality.
• Coordinate work activities with dispatch and other departments to maintain smooth operations.
• Train drivers on job responsibilities, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules, logs, and vehicle usage, and prepare operational reports and budgets while keeping track of expenses.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, legal requirements, and company policies across all operations.
• Request tools, equipment, and supplies needed to maintain the fleet and support operations.
• Recommend personnel actions, such as hiring, promotions, or disciplinary measures, to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
• Communicate regularly with management to report progress, address challenges, and propose improvements for transportation efficiency.
