We specialize in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle makes and models, with a commitment to delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality service. As our business grows, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Automotive Technician to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following duties:
• Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic tools and procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and brake servicing.
• Repair or replace mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, suspensions, cooling systems, and fuel systems.
• Support minor electrical repairs (e.g. starter motors, alternators, sensors, and lighting systems).
• Read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical bulletins.
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and customer documentation.
• Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain tools, diagnostic equipment, and work areas in clean, functional condition.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of a post-secondary vocational program in automotive technology or a formal apprenticeship program.
• At least 2 years of recent, relevant experience in automotive repair (including commercial vehicles is an asset).
• Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and modern automotive repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical clients.
• Must be physically capable of handling heavy parts and working in tight spaces.
• Red Seal certification or eligibility to challenge the Red Seal exam is considered an asset.
• Experience with hybrid or EV electrical systems is not required but considered an advantage.
