European Butcher by Pavao Meats & Deli is pleased to serve countless customers throughout the GTA and within a radius of100 km of Toronto. With seven locations inside No Frills Supermarkets, Pavao Meats & Deli specializes in the highest quality and finest cuts of meat and poultry such as beef,veal, turkey, pork, sausages, chicken, goat and lamb, to name a few. In addition, we also carry a vast Deli selection.
We are now looking for two professional Butchers to join our team to keep offering quality and reliable services. Successful candidates must be responsible, reliable and able to work unsupervised.
Job Duties:
-Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
-Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
-Wrap and package prepared meats
-Remove bones from meat
-Weigh meats for sale
-Cut poultry into parts
-Price meat products
-Sell meats to customers
-Train meat cutters
-Prepare special displays of meats and poultry products
Requirements:
-Completion of High School (preferred);
- 1-2+ years of experience working with meat, preferably in a high-volume retail environment;
-Flexible hours and weekends;
-Ability to work with knives, hand tools and utensils;
-Physically able to lift 50 pounds of force frequently;
-Ability to stand and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
