We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead client engagements and support a variety of accounting, auditing, and tax functions.

Key Responsibilities
Lead full-cycle accounting and assurance projects from start to finish—planning, executing, and reviewing everything with precision and care.
Prepare and interpret financial statements and reports that help our clients understand their numbers, all while ensuring they meet GAAP and IFRS standards.
Handle tax returns for individuals, corporations, and trusts (T1, T2, T3) with accuracy and timeliness—no missed deadlines here.
Conduct audits and financial reviews to make sure our clients are staying compliant with CRA requirements and industry best practices.
Evaluate internal systems and offer practical recommendations to make processes more efficient and reduce financial risk.
Mentor and support junior team members, reviewing their work and helping them grow in their professional journey.
Work directly with the CRA on audits, appeals, and tax planning, acting as a trusted advisor to our clients.
Build strong client relationships, communicating clearly and professionally while always respecting confidentiality.
Use your professional judgment to solve complex accounting or tax issues—and know when to ask the right questions.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
• 1-2 years of experience in public practice accounting (preferably in a small to mid-sized firm)
• Strong understanding of Canadian tax laws and financial reporting standards
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, TaxCycle, QuickBooks, Sage)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
