Job Description:
GILL DRYWALL LTD., based at Unit 52, 6350 142 Street, Surrey, BC V3X 1B8, Canada, is eagerly looking for 01 Construction Site Supervisors to join its team to work all over the Lower Mainland.
Job Duties:
• Supervise and Coordinate On-Site Activities:
Oversee, coordinate, and schedule the daily tasks of construction crews involved in drywall installation, ensuring all work is performed efficiently and in accordance with project specifications.
• Establish Work Methods and Collaboration:
Develop effective work methods and strategies to meet construction schedules. Coordinate workflow with other subcontractors and trades to ensure smooth execution and timely project delivery.
• Problem Solving and Productivity Enhancement:
Identify and resolve worksite issues, including delays, conflicts, or safety concerns. Propose and implement measures aimed at enhancing overall productivity and improving workmanship quality.
• Material and Supply Management:
Assess material requirements and submit requisitions to ensure timely availability of supplies, tools, and equipment necessary to maintain project momentum without interruptions.
• Training and Safety Compliance:
Instruct crew members on job-specific duties, proper handling of materials and tools, and adherence to company safety protocols and occupational health regulations.
• Personnel Recommendations:
Evaluate worker performance and make informed recommendations regarding hiring, promotions, or reassignments to optimize team efficiency and support career progression.
• Progress Reporting:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of job progress, daily reports, and site conditions. Provide regular updates to management and stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Supervision of Support Staff:
Oversee and coordinate the work of apprentices, helpers, and general labourers. Ensure tasks are aligned with project goals and workers receive adequate support and direction.
Employment Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required
• 2–3 years of experience in the trade or in a related work area required
• Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time, and carry out strenuous physical tasks
• Requires lifting, pulling, and carrying of equipment and other objects
• Candidate should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, and in all weather conditions
• Basic English is required to communicate

As per BC Employment Standards Act:
• 4% vacation pay on the gross salary each pay period or 10 days of paid vacation (worker will choose)
