As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team and elevate our culinary offerings.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Executive Sous-Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef plays a critical role in ensuring consistent food quality, supporting kitchen operations, and mentoring junior staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate culinary professional looking to grow within a respected and ambitious kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

•Support the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring seamless day-to-day functioning.
•Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain quality and consistency across all dishes.
•Supervise, train, and mentor line cooks, prep staff, and other kitchen team members.
•Assist in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and preparing daily prep schedules.
•Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety in accordance with health regulations.
•Contribute to menu planning, development of seasonal specials, and maintaining traditional Italian cuisine standards.
•Ensure efficient kitchen operations during service and address any issues promptly and professionally.
•Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Chef.
•Support quality control efforts to align food and service with the restaurant's vision and culture.
•Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.

Qualifications:

•Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within a fast-paced fine dining environment.
•Culinary diploma or equivalent professional training is preferred.
•Proven leadership skills and effective team communication.
•Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
•Strong commitment to kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety protocols.
•Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
•In-depth knowledge of Italian cuisine is a strong asset.
•Experience coordinating Front-of-House (FOH) and Back-of-House (BOH) operations is an advantage.
•Familiarity with Canadian culinary norms, food preparation standards, and safety practices is considered an asset.
