Family owned and operated jobbing machine shop located in Surrey, BC is looking for professional Machinists (NOC 72100) that will be a good fit to our company. We have been in business for more than 30 years. We service multiple industries including forestry, pulp and paper, aggregates, marine, oil and gas, mining, heavy industry, municipalities and infrastructure projects.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Program, set up, and run parts on Haas CNC mill and lathes
• Must be proficient and able to program in Fusion 360
• Set up and adjust production machineries/tools
• Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
• Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
• Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerance
• Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools
• Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools
• Operate manual milling equipment is an asset
• A comprehensive understanding of tool selection, speeds and feeds, working with various materials including castings, brass/copper, super alloys, aluminum and steel.
• Accurately read drawings and inspect work.
• Precise use of measuring equipment such as depth micrometer, bore gauge, inside and outside micrometer and dial indicators
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines when required
• Work well in a team environment, but can reliably work unsupervised
Qualifications:
• Good work history of reliability and dependability
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Experience using Fusion 360
• Experience with HAAS mills and lathes is required
